Increase Resources for Students, Teachers and Parents

We can support the learning process through tutoring and mentoring for students, leadership and professional development for teachers, and engaging parents as partners.

Tutoring for At-Risk Youth

Kids with backpacksExtra time and attention can go a long way in helping struggling students to succeed. Through effective in-class and after-school programs, we can provide academic support, tutoring and mentoring for at-risk youth.

  • Solutions in Action: Programs like THINK Together provide daily, hands-on homework assistance and academic support through experienced tutors to help at-risk students achieve their full potential.

Leadership Development

We can equip teachers and administrators with the ongoing training and support they need to be successful. Common Core State Standards, 21st Century Skills, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) curriculum and opportunities, coupled with the engagement and language development strategies that facilitate learning, foster the continual growth that our teachers need to meet the evolving needs of Orange County’s students.

Parent Partnerships

Training and programs help parents understand how to best work with schools and support their child’s learning. Topics such as parent involvement at school, collaboration and effective communication between home and school, and supporting learning in the home environment enhance parents’ effectiveness as their child’s first teacher.
